We believe that all the members of All Saints' are its ministers.  To keep All Saints' strong, we depend on everyone to get involved and enthusiastically welcome your participation.   If you are interested in any of these ministries, please call the parish office at (908) 322-8047 for more information.

Acolytes

Young people (6th grade and up) and adults serve at the altar for our worship services.   (Schedule)

Altar Guild

Members prepare the altar for all worship services, care for altar linens and vessels, and often arrange flowers for the church.

Buildings and Grounds

Members supervise the maintenance of parish buildings and care for the grounds.   Meeting on the last Wednesday of every month, they discuss long-term projects and immediate needs, considering competitive bids from vendors where necessary.  The committee also sponsors cleanup and workdays.

Choirs

The All Saints' Choir welcomes men and women of eleventh grade and up who sing at the main service every Sunday and on other major holy days (Christmas, Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday).  They rehearse Thursdays from 8-9:30 pm, and sing both classical and more contemporary sacred music.  All four voices are represented.

The Youth Choir has grades 2nd to 10th.  They sing at the main service one Sunday a month and at the 5 o'clock Family Service on Christmas Eve.  Rehearsals are at 11:30 am on most Sundays, and at 9:00 am when they sing.

Christian Education

Believing it is important for Christians of all ages to learn about their faith, we offer the following opportunities:

·      Nursery for the very young children, during the 10:00 service – monitored by parishioners

·      Sunday School, mid-September though mid-June, for children from pre-K through middle school, meeting every Sunday at 9:55 am.    The teachers are parishioners.

·      Confirmation class – every few years

·      Youth Group for our high school-age parishioners (and older Middle School)

·      Adult Education – Sunday Morning Bible Study, Sunday afternoon classes on various aspects of faith, guest speakers for weeknight programs.    A committee works with the Rector to make plans.

The Crafters

These talented women knit, crochet, embroider, macramé, and do other wonderful crafts, creating a wide assortment of beautiful items to sell at the annual Harvest Fest.  They meet every Friday during much of the year, to compare notes on projects, and for good fellowship.

Family Life Committee

Members plan recreational activities such as parties, picnics, and suppers to coincide with the seasons of the church year, and look into pastoral needs of the parish.

Hospitality Committee

Coordinates the weekly Coffee Hours, along with potluck suppers, receptions, and other special events.

Lay Readers/Lay Eucharistic Ministers

After completing a series of classes in the parish, Lay Readers are licensed by the Diocese of New Jersey.  They minister at all worship services, reading lessons, leading prayers, and administering the chalice. (Schedule)

Membership Committee

Greeters

Welcoming both visitors and long-time parishioners to services on Sunday.  (Schedule)

Men’s Lunch

Fellowship for the men of the parish on the last Wednesday of the month.   They perform a vital ministry, preparing the newsletter for mailing and, having earned it (smile), they enjoy lunch.

Outreach Committee

The mission of the Outreach Committee at All Saints' is to reach out to those in the community and in the world who are in need.  The committee meets every other month on the third Sunday after the 10:00 am service.  The committee’s projects include:

·      Collection of Non-Perishable Foods:  Each Sunday they are collected and placed in our in-house food pantry for distribution by Heart for Humanity to local families in need.  The second Sunday of every month is Mission Sunday, when donations for specific items are requested.

·      Grace's Kitchen:  Every month, on the last Thursday, parishioners serve a local soup kitchen.  Members help in the preparation and serving of the food.

·      African Crafts:  We have an annual sale of wonderful African Crafts to raise money for African Team Ministries, whose programs educate orphans in Uganda and Kenya.

·      CROP Walk:  We have a good number of "walkers" each year, who get sponsors so that funds can go to Church World Service.

·      Christmas Shoe Boxes:  We fill boxes with both useful and fun gifts for children in war-torn parts of the world (via Samaritan’s Purse).

·      Thanksgiving Turkeys:  Distributed by Heart for Humanity and Easter Baskets Humanity

·      We are also regular contributors to the Heifer Project and United Thank Offering and regular participants in Habitat for Humanity.

Rummage Sale

Coming every May and filling the Parish Hall, this two-day fund-raising project is coordinated by volunteers who work for most of the year to get things ready.

Harvest Fest

A festive fund-raising event coming each fall and featuring the All Saints' Crafters, along with outside vendors, the Fair is coordinated by volunteers who begin working in early summer on the following fall's program.
